old DUTCH SOLID SILVER SERVER - BUTTERFLY / LEAF (3S1) Start Price USD 175.00 Current Price USD 175.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Sunday, September 21, 2008 End Time Tuesday, October 21, 2008 Location Wynnewood, PA See more about 'old DUTCH SOLID SILVER SERVER - BUTTERFLY / LEAF (3S1)' Description Beautiful and unusual, large antique/vintage Dutch Solid Silver Server with a wonderful realistic Leaf Shaped Blade and Handle, with an aesthetic Twist center.  The Blade has an elaborate engraved design with a large Butterfly.  Probably a Cake Server though has many other uses today (serving pies, vegetables quiche, pastries, etc...).   Dates to the early 20th Century and measures 8 3/4" long.  Is in very beautiful, very fine condition!  Hallmarks located on the reverse side of the handle and on the obverse side of the blade, near the twist section.  Hallmarks can be seen in the photos and described in brief here:  BLADE MARK - looks to be a head facing left wearing a helmet inside a circle / HANDLE MARKS - three touchmarks:  'N' inside a circle (the date letter for 1923), full figure Lion with the number 2 and inside a square the letters A.J.*D*.   The old Server shows well in the photos and best in person!  Scroll all the way across and down to view all photos.  Will hand polish before shipping.   NO RESERVE.  For payment we prefer PayPal (with confirmed address), though we also accept money orders, personal checks in U.S. dollars, Visa and MasterCard.  See Payment details for more information.  Pennsylvania residents add 6% sales tax.
