Such masks are placed above the entrance door of a house to keep bad ghoasts and bad spirits away from entering the house or place.The offered mask is made from hardwood and painted golden (perada), red (gincu) and creme (bone ash) by using natural colour. (The partly blue colour under the chin probably comes from the wallcolour of the house were the mask once was hanging).At the left side of the face as well at its middle part in front form the upper teeth to the eyebowes are two thin cracklines (see photos) and near the crackline at the left faceside is an old rusty nail seated deeply inside (heavily to see and for what reason ever).
