Description
This is a RARE antique pair of solid brass (or bronze ?) Russian signed candlesticks.    They are in excellent condition. You have probably never seen a pair like these before ! They have seams going up and down each side of them. The signature of the maker is in the front on the base of each one. I have provided a close-up of the Russian writing for you to read, but I cannot interpret it.  I would date these to around the early 19th century (c1800), or perhaps earlier. I have others similar to these but I cannot get to them right now. I have not polished or cleaned them, as I prefer my metalware as-is. They stand about 8 3/4" high, almost 4" across the square bases. There is what appears to be a very old repair to one of the candlesticks, and I have provided close-ups of that area. Hardly noticeable. Other than what was mentioned above, NO repairs, NO breaks, NO cracks, NO holes, NO missing pieces, but NO candle wax ! I encourage you to read my ABOUT ME page by clicking HERE. You also might be interested in looking at my auctions that ended recently that did not sell, by clicking HERE. SHIPPING:Buyer to pay $12 shipping/handling/insurance within the continental USA (Sorry, USA shipping addresses only, unless prior agreement with me before you bid).Where possible I will try to combine multiple purchases into one shipment to save you on shipping costs.Items shipped after payment clearing MY bank.  Please note that this is not a full-time endeavor for me and I do have other responsibilities.  I always try to get these items shipped ASAP, but it might take a few days or perhaps as much as a week for me to get your item shipped out, depending upon many factors.I do not charge for my time (packing, shipping, toting to Post Office, emailing, etc.), nor do I charge for packing materials (boxes, bubble-wrap, tape, "fragile" stickers, labels, markers, peanuts, styrofoam, etc.).  The charge that I list for "shipping" is based upon 10+ years' experience of doing this.  My policy is to quote a fixed price in order to keep it simple.  I generally ship items via USPS Priority Mail, but unless specifically mentioned in the listing then it would be my option to go for another method.  If I know that I'm sending it to you via Priority, then I'll probably indicate that in the listing. PAYMENT:Personal checks and money orders.  I sometimes accept PayPal, depending upon the expected sales price.  They charge a hefty fee to use that service and I don't always want to pay it.  If the listing options below show PayPal, then obviously I'm accepting it for this particular auction.  If you send a USPS (that's United States Postal Service) money order, then you can expect the quickest turnaround.Payments not received within 10 days from end of auction - buyer risks right to purchase and appropriate feedback. Don't hesitate to email me at seth212@aol.com with any questions.BIDDING:Bidders with either NET negative feedback or a zero (0) rating must email me before bidding. I reserve the right to cancel your bid otherwise.Make sure you re-review the entire listing, including questions/answers, before placing your bid since the listing might have additional information added later which comes up at the very bottom of the listing.
