Description
......I received this lovely bracelet from my first husband's family almost 45 years ago, and it was old then. It is silver with very intricate and detailed hand work. The large center medallion has scallop edges, with 2 small circles which are filled in with scroll work and a central bead. Then there is a large oval filled in with tiny beads. On top of this oval is another oval with a black background and hand etched camel and pyramids. Joined to this center medallion are 2 side pieces which have intricate scroll work, tiny beads, and a triangular piece. One section has the black background with etched monuments, and the other side piece has a palm tree and sail boat with black background. The 2 end sections are filled in with delicate and intricate scroll work. The bracelet is entirely hand-made...even the clasp and hinges. Bracelet has a great age patina, and is lovely as is, but will polish up very nicely if you want it brighter. I suggest having it professionally done by a jeweler. I personally think these old silver pieces are best left alone. Length of bracelet is 7". Center medallion is 1-1/2" in diameter Large oval is 1-1/2" X 3/4" Top oval is 1" X one-half inch two side sections are 1-5/8" X 1-11/16", tapering to5/8" at center, and one-half inch at end. End sections are 1-5/8" X one-half inch tapering to 7/16". This is a real family heirloom...many hours were put into its creation. $8 to ship, (includes insurance & signature confirmation)...
