Original finish. 3 drawers, one a locking silverware drawer. The piece has lovely older replaced hand made Queen Anne brasses. For a Welsh dresser, I like this piece because it has a much more American 'William and Mary' look. It has turned spindles and legs, and a lower shelf beneath the drawers, running the length of the dresser. The surface is old, stain darkened, with great patina and is NOT shiny. This item is an excellent buy. Every Welsh dresser I have seen that past few years is considerably more expensive. This has been in private home for a number of years.
