Produced as a prototype in the late 90's, this map has been warehoused for over a decade. Although not mint, it has the patina of age and would be a very impressive addition to any wall large enough to accommodate it. The map is printed on museum-quality fine art canvas. This is an over-sized item, and it will be carefully packed and shipped in a sturdy (albeit  a tad heavy) mailing tube.   Louis Renard was a noted 18th century publisher and bookseller from Amsterdam. This superb reproduction of his beautifully colored copperplate engraving was originally published in 1730. This image depicts California as an island and portrays North and South America as being attached by a peninsula.
