From an estate this telescope is in collectors condition! Looks like this unit was just stored away until now. The photos speak for themselves! These Telescopes were used in large gun turrets aboard ships and mounted like a side periscope so that the outside larger scope was able to site on a ship being fired on by that gun. You turned the knob on it to reduce glare and sunlight so that you could view the target easier. After the war, these were replaced by radar. Condition: Collectors condition just the way you'd like to find one!Most found online are beat up and without the case! A little cleaning needed for the telescope otherwise in excellent cosmetic condition. The case has 2 faults, one its missingthe back 2 hinges which can easily be replaced. The second isthe green felt is worn. The box itself is still strong and sturdywith the front latches in great condition.
