SUPERB GEORGIAN OAK WELSH KITCHEN DRESSER c1730 !!' Description defsound Store This is a stunning oak Welsh dresser c1730, with with a fantastically aged delft rack of wonderful character. It has overlapping drawer fronts, which were in use only from 1730-40, and it has a beautiful and deep patina. There are three drawers and the legs below are chamfered, giving a slender, or more delicate appearance than most. The rack retains one row of orginal very ancient looking hooks, and it sit on the base joined by pegs. Dimensions: base - 1700 mm wide, 780 mm tall, 450 deep. The rack is removable and is 1700 wide, 1125 tall, 230 deep (to the cornice), shelves are 170 mm deep. If you need any other measurements please email us.Notes on condition: The handles are replacements, but are of the correct period style. The top is of two planks which have separated slightly over time, but the gap appears to have been been filled, possibly with years of wax and polish. There have been some good repairs to the lower part of a couple legs, which are not immediately obvious (see photos) and are common in kitchen furniture of this age (cold damp floors in the past). The pot boards on the base may have been replaced at some time in the distant past. They are all uniform and in keeping. The cornice has been repaired or partly remade in the past. Two drawer bottoms have been replaced. Overall this an absolutely stunning period dresser with very clean lines, that will add a wow factor to any contemporary or period kitchen.Payment:1. We accept Paypal, cheques (which will need to be cleared before collection or delivery can be booked - this takes 8 working days), or cash on collection. Paypal is not accepted for collection. We use two friendly and fantastic couriers for different parts of the UK. 3. Prices: London and much of the Southeast is £48, Most of England is £69, and Scotland, Wales and the far North is £99. These are guide prices. Large items such as Wardrobes, huge tables, two part items such as chest-on-chests will cost a bit more – usually £20-40. 4. These prices are for a one-man service (One strong man but you will have to help unload too). You can get a two man service to help you, for an extra charge which varies according to location. You can also have an express service to most of the Southeast for a basic rate of £90 which means you’ll get your puchase within a couple of days if available.5. Please consider delivery to be an additional service. We are adding this point because Ebay has changed their feedback system and we think our feedback should only represent our service. We pack and book shipping immediately after payment has cleared. The new star system asks for dispatch rating feedback and cost feedback , and as we pack and book immediately and do not add any addition fees (we even absorb the cost of packing materials).6. The couriers for the Southeast usually collect on Friday, and for the rest of the country collection is usually on Mondays and Tuesday. Delivery can take up to 21 days, but this does not happen often. Usually delivery is well within two weeks of collection, and for the Southeast it is with a week from collection. We use very friendly, fast and dedicated couriers and they will do their best to get your item to you quickly. If you are in need of very fast delivery we will do our best to help arrange it, but we do not deliver ourselves.7. The couriers will contact you with a specific delivery time. They will not make you wait in all day! Usually you will get a two hour slot and they are very good about it. If you have special requirements such as evening or weekend delivery please let us know. These may have an additional cost. 8. Please write in advance to confirm prices. You can pay delivery in advance in your invoice or you can pay cash for the shipping on delivery (we obviously require payment for the actual item before shipping). 9.
