It is totally decorated in high relief, with 'Repousé' scrolls, profuse foliage, bunches of flowers hand chiseled and engraved, showing to the top a couple of Cherubs surrounding a central reserve. To the back it bears a Mythological animal head which completes its exquisite decoration. It has a really attractive shape enhanced by gold gilding to the interior. The heavy and high quality silverwork is perfect and the hinge mechanism is pristine to close it tightly. The gold gilding to the inside has wear due to its age, see pictures please. It is marked to the bottom '800'. It measures 6" long, 4 3/8" wide and 2 5/8" to its highest point and its weight is 13.75 oz (390 grams). JUST A BEAUTY!
