Up for bid is a vintage Meinecke bed and douche pan.  This piece is porcelain and white in color and has a handle at the upper end.  The pan is in near mint condition with some minor scratches on the very bottom.  This piece measures about 14.5" long and is pretty much standard size of that period.  There is embossing into the enamel which reads: "Meinecke" "Perfection" bed and douche pan the most comfortable and sanitary bed pan in the world- for hospital and home, two U.S. patents June 5, 1900 in Great Britain and Germany.  This pan is of the highest quality and could be used for anyone's collection or display.  You will be hard pressed to find another all white porcelain bed pan or one in this condition.
