You are bidding on a very fine antique guitar lute, unusual shape, handmade in Germany or Austria. There is no label or date, I think built around 1900 to 1920. A vintage instrument in very good condition, cleaned, IMMEDIATELY PLAYABLE, does not need repair. Beautiful selected wood, the top is finest solid spruce, the back and the two sides (!!) is superb slightly flamed solid maple. Wonderful ! The tuners (with bone knobs ! one is broken but tunable, the others have slight fissured) work very well, majestic head, rosewood fingerboard with 20 (!!) frets (good condition, show slight signs of use), three mother-of-pearl markers at the fretboard, beautiful original bridge (maybe ebony), 2 original bridge pins, 4 are replaced. The neck is perfectly straight and very good playable, the action at the 9th fret is about 5mm. Floating neck, adjustable by a screw. New good quality nylon strings, very lovely and warm but also strong sound with great resonance. GOOD ORIGINAL CONDITION - This guitar lute was well played. 2 repaired cracks at the top, one crack at one sides, some old repairs at the sides. One old repair (not done by a luthier) at the table (soundhole to bridge). A very special instrument, a beauty with fine sound. See my pics ! Hier eine wunderschöne antike Gitarrenlaute, handgebaut in Deutschland oder Österreich, ohne Label oder Jahreszahl, ich schätze um 1900 bis 1920. Sehr ungewöhnliches Äußeres, 2 verschiedene Zargen. Wirklich guter Zustand und auch sofort perfekt spielbar (absolut gerader Hals, einstellbar durch eine Schraube, freischwebender Hals über der Decke, Mechaniken, die sehr gut funktionieren, Knöpfe aus Bein, Palisandergriffbrett mit 20 Bundstäben, schöner originaler Steg, vielleicht Ebenholz, Saitenhöhe 9. Bund ca. 5mm). Feinste Hölzer (massive Fichte, wunderschön gealtert, und prächtiger massiver Ahorn, leicht geflammt). Dieses Instrument wurde sicher sehr oft und intensiv gespielt. Voller und warmer Klang, neue gute Nylonsaiten. Nylon sollte verwendet werden. Mensur 625mm, Gesamtlänge 942mm. 2 reparierte Risse auf der Decke, ein offener und alte reparierte Risse in den Zargen. Eine allte Reparatur auf der Decke. Alles in allem ein hochinteressantes, sehr seltenes und schönes altes Meisterstück zum Spielen oder Sammeln! Bitte die Bilder anschauen.
