Description
Greetings Everyone! WELCOME to the… ~ Pair of Harvest HITCHCOCK CHAIRS ~ Available for pick up in the Philly area (Eagleville, 19403) or Twin Tiers, NY/PA area (Tioga, 16946). Here's a pair of vintage Hitchcock side chairs that I recently bought from a private estate. They're in near mint condition and are completely factory original. I believe these are known as "Harvest" chairs and have stencil painted decorations of fruit across the back slat. You will see strawberries, blueberries, pears and apples or peaches. These have what is called a "braceback" design. There are 9 finely turned spindles that create the comfortable fully contoured back and an additional 2 spindles that are angled farther back on the seat to give the back of the chair additional strength and rigidity. The seat is also contoured and stained a warm medium walnut finish. The remainder of the chair is painted black and has hand painted gold accents and pin stripes. These chairs are not signed but I bought these from a private home along with another pair that were signed and I was told the two pair of chairs were originally bought at different times by the ladies parents. These are both in excellent condition and seem quite sturdy. The joints appear to be nice and tight. They may have minor signs of use and normal signs of age but these are used and that's to be expected. They do NOT have any damage of any kind. Local pickup is free and delivery or shipping are also available. Good luck bidding! I'm sorry but I do NOT accept PAYPAL! While I don't consider myself to be an expert my descriptions are “always” as accurate as possible! I'm an honest seller and a long time business owner and always strive to please my customers. I specialize in finding quality vintage items and offering them to you at fair prices. Check my positive feedback and bid with confidence! This is a “NO RESERVE” Auction! Check out MY EBAY STORE for 100's of other great items. Thanks for looking …HAPPY BIDDING! MY AUCTION TERMS are as follows… please read before placing any bids! BIDDING ON THIS AUCTION MEANS YOU ACCEPT “ALL” THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS! NO excuses, NO exceptions! If you can’t agree to my terms then DON’T bid! ”PLEASE”… read carefully before placing your bid. I sell used items. As such, ALL AUCTION SALES ARE FINAL! EVERYTHING IS SOLD “AS-IS” ! NOTE- If you have (0) feedback or negative feedback your bids may be cancelled at my discretion. SEVERAL things to consider before you place a bid… 1. SHIPPING COSTS... Local pickup is preferred, local delivery and shipping are also available. You may pick it up in person at one of 2 locations. Eagleville, PA (19403) which is about 30 minutes northwest of center city Philly, PA. Or 20 minutes northwest of Mansfield, PA 16946 (Twin Tiers of NY/PA). I will also deliver within 150 mile radius to either one of those locations for a fee. Delivery beyond that distance will require other arrangements and cost more. I normally ship smaller items with USPS and larger items with DHL or UPS. If you bid and win this item you are expected to pay in a timely manner regardless of any shipping costs or arrangements. 2. INSURANCE… Unless otherwise stated, insurance is optional but available only on items shipped to U.S. buyers. If you want me to insure your item you will need to request that I do so and pay the additional fees. You can simply indicate that you want insurance coverage when you send your payment. Insurance is optional but I recommend it! I will "NOT" be responsible for lost or damaged packages regardless of the chosen shipper. I always pack with extreme care but I will not assume responsibility if an item is damaged or lost once it leaves my hands. 3. SHIPPING TIMES... Please pay attention here. I normally travel several days a week and am frequently out of town on other business for up to a week at a time. As such, I am almost NEVER able to pick up my mail on a daily basis nor am I able to ship on a daily basis. I try to ship once or twice a week depending on my schedule. I do not always have access to a computer to check emails or answer questions but I always do my best to answer inqueries ASAP. If you send a note and don't get an answer right away it may be that I'm out of town. I do the best I can to ship items in a prompt time period but depending on when I get your payment, the type of payment you send and a number of other variables, it will normally be about 3-4 weeks after the auction ends before you receive your item. If you're in a big hurry for something and don't have the patience to wait then please do us both a favor and shop with another seller. I'm only one person and this is not my entire life. Thank you for being realistic about this issue. 4. PAYMENTS… I do “NOT” accept “Pay-Pal” or credit card payments! PAYMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 10 DAYS! I may cancel the sale and sell the item to another bidder or relist it if I don’t receive your payment within 10 days from auctions end! I always file a report with ebay on non-paying bidders. I accept money orders, travelers checks, personal checks, or business checks ONLY! NO credit cards payments and NO PayPal. If you're going to pick up your item in person you will need to pay with cash. All payments must be made in U.S. dollars. International buyers (including Canada) must pay with an international money order payable in U.S. dollars. I will not accept checks from outside the continental U.S. There will be a $25 charge for any bounced checks or other returned deposited payments. PLEASE NOTE... All payments may be subject to a 7-10 "business" day waiting period before shipment due to the increasing number of bad checks and scam/fake payments (ie: money orders or cashiers checks). Sorry but it's become necessary. The exact waiting period duration will be my decision (not yours) and greatly influenced by your current feedback record. I only ship once I feel comfortable that your payment has cleared. 5. SALES TAX... PA residents pay 6% sales tax. Also, anyone that picks an item up in person will have to pay PA sales tax regardless of where you live. This will normally only affect people buying large furniture items that can't be shipped out of state but it applies to anyone picking up an item in person. 6. STORAGE... This generally applies to large items that are too big to ship but includes any item a buyer intends to pick up in person. I am more than willing to keep things for a short period of time (2 weeks) until you can pick up your item. However, unless we have agreed on other arrangements in advance I will begin charging storage fees after 2 weeks on things that haven't been picked up at the rate of $1 a day. Items left unclaimed for 45 days or more after the auctions end will be resold and any monies paid by the buyer will be forfeited. “Non Paying Bidders” GO AWAY! 7. FEEDBACK… Pretty simple... Your feedback will get mine. I certainly appreciate positive feedback and will leave positive feedback once I receive yours. If there is a problem of any kind just email me and allow me the opportunity to correct the issue before you resort to leaving negative or neutral feedback. That isn't going to help. I'll do my best to keep a happy customer if you just give me the chance. Deadbeat bidders will certainly get appropriate feedback. search ... furniture, vintage, antique, old, used, maple, formal, chippendale, windsor, bamboo, conn, harvest, turned, carved, stenciled, harvest, hitchcocksville, conn, ct, I’m proud to be an American!
