Description:   Vintage cast iron register grate with a rare curved design and grand detail.   The center section has a beautiful vine and floral design.   The center section can be removed by just lifting it out of the pockets that hold it in place.   Definitely one of a kind and highly collectable.    Approximate measurements:   Outside measurements are 11 3/4" x 11 3/4" wide.   It appears to fit an opening 10" x 10".   It is 1 1/8" deep at the widest point. Markings:   Patented Dec. 29 1896.  (on the bottom of the front). Condition:   Beadblasted and repainted a beautiful metallic black.   No damage, cracks or repairs.  Additional information:    Keep in mind that when dealing with any vintage cast item that there may be casting flaws.   I will declare all major casting flaws that I find.   Contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
