Description
This organ is NOT in North Carolina, but in Ohio. It belongs to the mother of my daughter's godfather (hows THAT for extended family?) Please send your questions and I'll get back to you once I get an answer to them. Manufactured by the Cornish Company, Washington, New Jersey. Date unknown. Organ was made in two pieces. The bottom contains the actual organ works. The top is the ornamental case. The organ plays. The only thing wrong with it that I know of is that several of the stop name labels have been lost. One of the oil lamps is original with the organ. The other lamp is an antique. Purchased in Beckley, West Virginia from an antique store in the early 1970’s. Case in excellent condition with the original finish. Purchaser will need to pick up the organ or arrange shipping. Antique stool is not original with the organ and is to be sold with the organ. Claw and glass ball feet. Pickup only in Fultonham, Ohio Click on the thumbs for a closer look! On Oct-04-08 at 16:48:55 PDT, seller added the following information:The top part measures 41 & 1/4 inches high. The bottom part measures 42 & 12 inches high. With the side handles, the width is 45 inches. The depth (at its greatest) is 22 & 1/2 inches. All the ivory on the keys is still intact -- none missing.
