INTERNET OUTLET *********************************************** Offered is this FINE Victorian Aesthetic Movement Walnut Bedroom Set  Tall Back Double Bed, Gentleman's and Lady's Beveled Mirrored Chests  Circa 1880's Simply stated, these pieces are breathtaking! Kept in great condition over the years, these stately pieces radiate quality and elegance. They are made from solid walnut with burl / matched crotched veneer panels and marble top accents.  You can be sure that this bed set will last for generations to come. Each peice comes complete with all original hardware which includes Lion- faced drawer bail pulls and working keys! Gentlemans Dresser: With casters down below- it measures 94.5'' tall (31.5'' to the marble top) x 54'' wide x 24'' deep. There are three smaller drawers over two larger ones. The top three are 6" tall by 15" wide. The two below are 8" tall by 47" wide.  All have tight, well handcrafted dovetail joinery. Notice the lovely three bead molding between each drawer and on each drawer front adding to this piece's stately elegance. Please notice in our photographs the one 3-4" chip of wood missing from the left side of the middle lower drawer. This can be minimized with some appropriate staining. Also notice the nice aged look of the solid wood backside. Original Lion-faced brass pulls with bail handles and Lion-faced key escutcheons. Gentlemans Round Beveled Mirror is 39'' in diameter. The Top Mirror section is 62 1/2" Tall by 52" wide. The Mirror is mounted and can swivel. B. Ladies Dresser: 81.5'' tall (26.5'' to marble top) x 40'' wide x 19'' deep The top drawer is 4" tall by 34" wide. The two smaller ones are 7 1/2" tall by 9 1/4" wide. The Middle Cabinet is 14" wide by 16" tall and its door uses a metal pull key. Notice the beautiful slender turned 3/4 Pillars/Columns, the lovely flowers, leaves, and Rosette carving accents. Ladies Beveled Mirror is 25'' in diameter and it is mounted to allow for swivel action. C. Double or Queen size bed: Tall back-style Headboard is 90'' tall x 65'' wide x 2'' deep. Its heavily carved leaf and floral friese moulding crest is flanked by 3/4 turned pillars and surrounds a large oval matched crotch burl veneer panel. Smaller matched crotch burl veneer panels accent throughout this piece and both chests too! The Headboard's matched crotched oval panel is 49'' wide x 17'' tall !!! There is some minor separation in the convex angles of the upper left side of the Headboard's Crest.   The Lower Footboard: 36'' tall x 61'' wide x 5'' deep The Footboard continues the patterns of matched crotched veneers and pillars and floral carvings accents. It has two very minor fingertip impressions on its flat top rail in the central area. Siderails: 10'' to 18'' tall x 77'' long x 55'' wide Down below the mattresses- there are currently two 8" cross rails the current owner has attached (with screws) to the side rails for mattress support. The siderails have the orignal 3" wide notches available for multiple thinner cross supports if you chose this method instead. The parents of the previous owner used to have the Headboard mounted on the wall, kept the ornate vertical sides of the siderails off, and used a Queen -sized mattress on this bed. As with all antiques, this item has some very minor marks on it that have been noted in our Description that are commensurate with its age. Please study our photographs to see the minor marks. It is my belief that these pieces were refinished sometime in the past 25 years as they have an impeccable clean and tidy appearance.  Please recognize that in keeping with the age of this fine piece, the minor marks happen over the years from normal "wear and tear" and do not take away from its overall beauty or value.
