It is not now playable. This has a one piece body with wrap around octave key. The barrel, body, and bell are all stamped with the Buffet logo; in addition, the bell is stamped with the name of the importer, Carl Fischer, New York. Below that is "L.P.", standing for low pitch... so this will be a useable instrument. Serial number is 2767; this number might not be straight Buffet, but rather from a set of numbers specific to the importer Carl Fischer- I don't know. Overall length assembled, from top of the barrel to the bottom edge of the bell is 26 3/4 inches (67.95 cm). As seen in the photos, there is a crack in the bell, and a couple of small ones in the bell tenon; there are one or two surface checks inside the barrel, and maybe a spot of glue around the thumb rest, perhaps to secure its screws. It has never been pinned, and none of the cracks are terribly serious. The mechanism is moving freely. No case comes with the clarinet. Place a Bid!
