The patterns of these men's and women's head dresses are unusually variegated and picturesque. In the past skull-caps were worn mostly by men. Now that they have become a part of woman's attire the art of ornamentation of skull-caps has become tremendously diversified. This one is a beautiful Skullcap with neck extension. This skull-cap has beaded tassels. It has great workmanship and colorful patterns. Also it has some metal hammered elements. This Uzbek hat is handmade embroidered in South Region of Uzbekistan. This skull-cap is a great sample for collectors of Uzbek Art. Size of circumference 21 inches (52 cm) Condition is good . The approx. age is first part of 20th century.Skull-cap is not only an oriental national souvenir but it can supplement any European suite, lending it a marvelous exotic element.
