Wood is probably Oak. This is a large piece that measures approx. 6' or so tall with both pieces. The bottom piece is a dry sink and measures 46" wide, 35" tall and 16" deep. It has one small drawer with an old pull on it. It has 2 doors with a latch. Inside are 2 shelves about 15" deep. There is plenty of room for storage. The top piece fits neatly into the dry sink bottom piece opening and measures approx. 42" tall 33" wide, and 10 1/2" deep. It also has 2 doors with a latch and has 3 shelves approx. 9 1/2 to 10" deep, two shelves have a plate rail inside for easy display - this top piece also has plenty of storage. The latches and drawer pull are old, and may or may not be original to the cupboard I have owned this piece for about 20 yrs. I have not seen another piece like it. I do not know for sure if the bottom and top were original to each other, but if not then it is very hard to tell. The wood and back all match very well. This is a great show piece! I have used it in many areas of my home for display and also storage. It is a very heavy piece and as a result will require local pick up only.
