Superb Antique Vienna Bronze Indian On Horseback With Bow and Arrow   Superb Antique Vienna Bronze Polychrome Indian with bow and arrow on galloping horse. The bronze is marked Geschutz on the base and on the horse's belly with numbers. The black and gold marble base in inscribed "Made in Austria." Kauba is well known and most famous for his Indian and Western as well as his Erotica Vienna bronze sculptures. Although Kauba never traveled to the Wild West, he was fascinated by the stories and pictures of the American Indians. He created many of the world's finest antique Vienna bronze polychromed Indian sculptures. The one we are offering is in mint condition with the exception of the base that has a little chip in the corner and an old repair mentioned for the sake of accuracy. The bronze itself is flawless. This bronze is an incredible composition, one of Kauba's best. The Indian and horse are extremely life-like and very animated. From the horse's tail tip to its nose, it measures a little over 1 foot. Height 6 inches. The base is 11 1/2 inches long by 5 inches wide. It is on its original black and gold marble base inscribed on the under side "Made in Austria."
