I have never come across one like it and it looks so grand that it could be ceremonial. The whisk hairs are also coming down the way , opposite to all others that I have seen. This is really a superb piece made from pleated hairs onto a wooden pole. some of the hairs are dyed but the colour is well faded. Period: I really do not know but I would guess 1900 Origin: Again I do not know. I was told Native American but could be African or even south seas. Condition: Good. Colours faded.
