Description ~Super Sweet Sunbonnet Sue Vintage Quilt~ Unused!       to start a new paragraph use --->   Welcome to FARAWAY FARM on Orcas Island in the beautiful state of Washington.  Here we sell a variety of treasures including unique antiques, lovely old handmade quilts, vintage linens, lace, turn-of-the-century clothing and the most extraordinary organically grown miniature roses from vintage rose stock treasured over generations.    This is a super sweet 1940-50's SUNBONNET SUE Quilt. It measures about 69" X 91" and is in excellent, little to unused condition.  Appears to be hand appliqued, hand embroidered, machine pieced and hand quilted at about 6 stitches per inch.  The backing looks like feedsack fabric and is turned and hand bound to the front of the quilt. Remarkable quality!  The batting is cotton and medium to heavy. Has been professionally hand laundered and will arrive clean and fresh with no odors or stains.  It is pictured on a double bed.  A sweet quilt!  *Note about our lighting -  We do the best we can to take accurate photos to show you what we are selling.  We are relying, at present, on a very pretty lighting fixture that does tend to flash rainbows and inconsistent lighting at times - unless we specifically say there is a discoloration on an item it is likely to be the lighting ~sorry.
