A superb vintage tray table by Piero Fornasetti, probably 1950sThis wonderfully opulant and attention-demanding Fornasetti piece is lavishly decorated with a pistols and keys motif in gold on a turquoise/blue marble ground. The tray stands on folding brass legs with black cloth supports.This is very rare vintage twentieth century Italian design item and in my opinion a stunning example of Fornasetti's best work. In very good condition indeed with some minor edge and surface wear to the enamel of the tray consistent with age and careful use. There are no significant damages such as deep scratches or dents, or signs of restoration. As you can see the piece would make a stunning addition to any stylish interior and displays beautifully. The tray is fully signed on the reverse with a vintage paper label depicting the famous hand and paintbrush trademark and measures approximately 48 cms by 40.5 cms. The tray table height is about 60 cm. An extremely visually stimulating Fornasetti piece, this will make the perfect gift for a Fornasetti enthusiast. Don't miss this opportunity.
