Description
French Art Deco Marble Mantel Clock (circa 1930 ~1935) Up for auction and your consideration is this absolutely stunning Art Deco Clock which was recently acquired from a private Estate Sale in BC, Canada. The marble case consists of 5 beautiful colours exquisitely placed in a semi geometric layout. All of the marble casings are supported by brass circular supports. The clock is in full running order and maintains very accurate time and measures 9.25 inches high x 17.5 inches wide x 4.25 inches deep. The two side displays each measure 6.5 inches high x 5.25 inches wide x 3.5 inches deep. The left front lower main platform of the clock’s marble casing has a chip but is hardly noticeable due to the location and black colour of the marble. The opposite side (rear of clock) of the lower platform also has a few chips however; these cannot be seen from the front while on display. The lower marble platforms on the side displays also have minor chip but as previously mentioned these are hardly noticeable due to the location and colour. One of the studs that hold the metal panel at the rear of the clock to the marble casing has been repaired and will require a locking nut. The other stud / locking nut is functioning fine. The clock’s face glass has been replaced. Based on the age of this clock and the journeys that it’s seen in it’s lifetime, we feel very confident that you will be extremely pleased with this purchase making it an antique that you will be proud to display. This is truly is a stunning clock! The successful bidder will be responsible for freight, insurance & pkg which will be added to the final invoice amount. Pkg cost (Can$15.00) is only being added due to the weight and size of the shipment. The winning bidder will also be responsible for all duties and or local taxes if the shipment is being sent to the USA or over seas. The method of shipment will be via Canada Post Expedited offering a lead-time of 9 days from Ontario Canada to Texas at a cost of Can$60.00 plus insurance. Deliveries times and freight cost may therefore be lower based on the shipment’s final destination. Insurance is based on the declared insured value (selling price) and is calculated at Can$1.00 /$100.00 of insurance, with the 1st $100 of insurance value being free...
