Jones, circa 1905. The is a lovely copper box with classic Art Nouveau design of leaves and berries to the lid and sides with a large green Ruskin enamel roundel mounted to the centre of the lid. For similar examples, please see the book ''The Silversmiths Of Birmingham And Their Marks 1750-1980'' by Jones, Kenneth, Crisp - page 181. The box is 7-3/4 inches / 197 mm wide x 5-1/2 inches / 140 mm deep and it stands about 2-1/2 inches / 63 mm high. It is a very heavy box weighing 1,247 grams - so just about 1-1/4 kilos. The inside of the box is lined with cedar wood. The box is in excellent condition with no dents or damage and the hinge is in perfect working order. The box also stands flat on it's four feet. As is normal for these boxes, it is not marked. I accept payment via Paypal, debit or credit cards as well as personal cheques in Pounds Sterling drawn on a UK bank. For international customers, by arrangement payment may also be done via bank wire transfer. I will post worldwide and I aim to despatch items within 3 days from receipt of payment.
