The dates range from 1878-1881. Each map is an original. I removed them from the atlas myself. Size / Format In millimetres. 1" = 25.6 mm Map:  403 X 328 Plate Impression:  445 x 368 Sheet:  467 X 390 These maps were all 'tipped in' to the atlas. They are all printed on one side only on very heavy paper. There is a single fold in the centre of each map. Each map was precisely hand-coloured in outline at the time of publication. The colours are still bright and fresh. Note: These maps are from a German Atlas. Geographical names and any text are, naturally, in German. Condition Excellent. On a few maps, the margins were affected by some sort of episode of damp at some point in past, and this has left a stain. Such marks, appearing on about 10% of the maps,  are ALWAYS confined to the margins. The maps themselves are all spotless. The large scanned images of the maps in each listing have not been altered in any way and marks to the margins, if any, are clearly visible for you to judge. Remarks This is the seventh edition of one of Europe's best known and eagerly collected atlases. These maps were all printed from engraved copper plates and they have strong, clearly visible, plate marks. Any of these maps will look great framed. They are truly superior quality maps in top condition. They are impressive enough to be admitted into almost any decor, or to be offered as a gift, especially once framed.  Note that these maps had to be scanned in two parts and the reassembled in Photoshop to obtain an image of the whole map. In some of the images, the point at which the two parts were joined is visible. This, obviously, appears only on the scanned image and not on the map itself.   This Listing:   FREE SHIPPING!
