We are very proud to offer you this amazing grandfather clock that dates from the second quarter of the 20th C. (c. 1940). This well made, well maintained grandfather clock has been someone's treasured possession for many years, and is now ready to become your very own valuable family heirloom ! We were lucky to acquire it from a lovely Private estate in the South of France near Cannes!These high end grandfather clocks are so hard to come by- they very rarely come up for sale. The entire clock is carved with flowers and leaves and on top of the clock is a sitting cherub of 10 Inches tall.The clock case is made of the finest walnut,has a gorgeous patina and is in perfect condition.The clock case is signed in the base with the capitals "P.S." and made by Pierre-Jean Simoneau a French woodcarver.The dial with Roman nummerals is signed with " OBL" and is probably made by Otto-Bernhard Langeau a famous clock work maker in that time.The grandfather clock has an 8 days movement, is in perfect condition and is running on time.The clock has three brass weights ,is driving by three chains and plays every 15 minutes a gorgeous Westminster melody.The clock chimes on eight gong bars !
