Description
This is a very solidly built little sewing machine still in working condition. We found no makers name but it is very similar to a machine attributed to Louis Beckh, Mannheim, Germany, ã 1869. The number 65 is stamped in the cast iron base, we don’t know if this is a model number or a date stamp. It shows signs of use, the needle is broken, but still appears to be in good working order. We estimate That it still has 80 to 85% of the original paint. It is about 8 inches long (10 counting the handle) and about 8 inches tall when extended and weighs about 6.25 pounds (shipping weight 8 lbs.) <p> Buyer pays shipping & insurance cost. We will ship anywhere US law allows. We accept USPS money orders, personal checks in US funds, or PAYPAL. We ship USPS Priority unless otherwise instructed; Insurance, special handling or overseas shipping will be extra. Orders shipped WITHIN 3 working days on receipt of money order or certified funds, checks must clear OUR bank. NOTE TO PAYPAL USERS - WE WILL NOT SHIP TO AN UNCONFIRMED ADDRESS. On Aug-29-08 at 19:50:53 PDT, seller added the following information:We were asked the condition of the paint on the wheel. It does not seem to show as much wear as the rest of the machine. There is a gilt line circling near the outer rim of the wheel and a circle of entwined leaves around about the mid-point. we estimate close to 90% paint on the wheel. We have taken a picture but can't figure out how to add it to the listing.
