Mom bought this lovely item and none of we kids has room for it anymore! We are told that it's in the French Country style and probably from the late 1800s.  Mom always called it an "umbrella stand."  It's a three-piece unit (fairly easily attached together by wood slats along the backside of the three pieces--when assembled, the middle section hangs suspended between the two sidepieces) which is about 7 1/2 feet tall and six feet wide.  The front 'doors' of the two side pieces open up and have hooks inside upon which items may be hung. It's not in perfect shape but it's in quite excellent shape for an item that we believe is about 130 years old.
