We don't how to judge the age, but will let you judge. We also don't know what is supposed to be in the box, so there is one picture with just the pieces beside the main body. Come with the box as shown and a working key. It has the tiniest of lights which works. The wire to the light is worn, but no flickering. There is a scratch or imperfection of the INSIDE of the large lens. I don't know how it got there, but it is NOT in you field of vision when looking through the small end. PICTURE WAS TAKEN TO SHOW THE FLAW CLEARLY, BUT AGAIN, YOU CANNOT SEE IT LOOING THROUGH THE LENS TO USE IT. Please ask any questions. I cant find a maker's mark. Reserve is minimal.
