Each measures 10.5" across and the entire set weighs 16 lbs. 8 oz. Each features unique scenes depicting landmarks in and around Stratford which were hand-painted and signd by "J Hughs". This set dates from as early as 1902 based on the red impressed hallmark on rear. Additional mark in red is that of the New York city retailer, Gilman Collamore & Co, of 5th Avenue and 30th Street. Titles include: Guys Cliff House; Kenilworth Castle; Holy Trinity Church, Stratford on Avon; Mary Ardens Cottage; Guys Cliff Mill; Shakespeare's Birthplace; Ann Hathaway's Cottage; Aston Cantlow; Charlecote; Warwick Castle; Memorial Theatre, Stratford on Avon; Bidford. Condition of each plate is excellent with no visible signs of wear to the decoration nor to the gilding, and no visible cracks nor chips. Plates were photographed individually with some variation in use of flash and exposure settings, which explains why the brightness and color varies somewhat from image to image.
