Short Description Medieval image mounted in a delicate framework, showing in the centre a kind of seal or medal representing Saint Clair of Assis. During the Medieval and Post Medieval period was very common the assemblage of small relics related to catholic saints of the Roman Catholic Church. Here, not a fragment of bone or textile was used, but a kind of seal. Highlights Nice metal wire contouring the image of Saint Clair and small pieces of gold leaf. State of conservation As it is and shown in picture. We would say: rather good. But part of the framework is SERIOUSLY damaged and need professional repair and small part of metal wire is rooted (and lost).
