Description
Sailor's Wool Work Sampler Picture Dating to circa 1860 and measuring 8" x 6" and 11" x 9" including its original maple frame, this is an interesting needlework sampler on prick-card, which combines a wool work (silk?) portrayal of a three-masted sailing ship. The verse and name E Wardle is worked in gold raised thread. Apart from minor loss of veneer to the corners and a couple of of what look to be fine splits in the card it is in good condition. Please email me for more information or photos or the cost of postage from the UK. I will accept payment in Pound Sterling or US Dollars, International money orders, banker's drafts and Paypal. Unfortunately I am unable to accept private cheques unless they are from well-established eBay customers or from the UK, and by prior arrangement only, please email before bidding. Please see my other auctions for more interesting items. Another auction from Peter Maw Antiques You may be interested in our other listings on eBay. Created by eBay Blackthorne ver. 3.2.135.0
