It is probably circa 1900 - 1920's. Thimble case was woven from sweet grass probably by a Northeastern Native American tribe. Inside is a lovely ornate silver thimble with a gold wash band on bottom that has a large star and small circle decoration. Also the number 10. Thimble is in excellent condition. Also in very good condition is the the thimble holder with a few small breaks in the top of case and a tiny section on the rim of the cover.
