These are hand carved by master craftsmen out of solid blocks of travertine marble so each one is a real masterpeice. These are amongst the finest surrounds currently available. As you can see in the pictures the carving is really of an incredible standard and has to be seen to be believed. The design consists of a breakfront shelf  on top of carved vineleaf decoration, supported by scrolled corbels with a floral frieze over floral capitals and jambs and triple block feet.The original is thought to be Italian, mid 19th century If you want to create a real statement then this is for you! This measures an impressive 5 foot 3 inches tall. The mantle measures 8 foot 3 inches by 23 inches at the widest point. The inside measurements are 44 inches wide and 42 inches tall. We can have this design or others maufactured to your size or material specification. Other materials would be marble, limestone or almost any natural stone you can think of.
