This Featherweight is one of the ORIGINALS - it is approaching 75-years-old, yet still maintains the beauty of a Featherweight.  There is the normal evidence of wear and the typical sewing markings on the surface with more wear along the edges.  The finish is good but aged.  The overall integrity of the machine has been very-well maintained.  It is very pretty and admirable to look at especially knowing its age and the uniqueness of it being an 'original'.  Most flaws will take close inspection for you to see them, but my husband and I wanted to disclose nonetheless.  The motor runs strong and sews a very nice, even forward and reverse stitch.  You will be proud of this machine - gorgeous for display, yet giving you confidence to sew-on.  During the first years of production the Featherweights had a few different characteristics about them than what later became mainstream.  One of the details is known to be a split-base... meaning the area below the 3-prong terminal is open.   As with all electronics & tools this item is being sold as-is.   100% SATISFACTION GAURANTEE!
