We did extensive research on this set before listing.  Here is some of what we found:  This set was made before 1928.  As you can see from the photo, this silver carries the Reed & Barton hallmark.  Though we did not shoot every piece, all have the same mark.  It is our understanding that the pattern for this set is known by its number, 730, not by a name.  A few of these pieces are marked 730C while the rest are just 730.  We understand that the "C" indicates the chased process of silver design. This set contains 5 Pieces: Teapot Coffeepot Sugar Container Creamer - gilt lined Waste Bowl - gilt lined The tray shown here is not Sterling, it's Silverplate.  As the tray is also Reed & Barton, it matches amazingly well to the tea set.  As a result, we are including it in this auction. This particular silver set/pattern is hard to find in this kind of condition and is bringing top dollar.  We took a look at other sites which are selling two pieces of this same pattern for close to $800.00. All these pieces were polished to be made ready for auction.  However, further cleaning may be required.  This is a heavy, well made tea set ready to grace your table or next function.
