Jones, fully hallmarked for 1924. This is a rare and beautifully designed set with the I _ _ RY side handles, very much an English take on the side-handled tea pots / tea sets that were being produced at the time by Georg Jensen in Denmark. The tea pot, with it's handle at 90 degrees to the spout, has a wonderful all over spot-hammered finish and is decorated with a simple twisted band around the middle. The milk jug and the sugar bowl have the same matching design below their rims. The tea pot is 8 inches / 203 mm wide to the end of the handle and just over 7 inches / 178 mm wide to the end of the spout. It stands about 5-3/4 inches / 145 mm high. The milk jug is 5-1/4 inches / 133 mm wide and stands about 2-3/4 inches / 70 mm high. The sugar bowl is 6 inches / 152 mm wide and stands 2-1/2 inches / 63 mm high. The combined weight of the three pieces is 632 grams. All of the pieces are in good condition with no damage. All of the pieces have matching hallmarks - Anchor for Birmingham, lion passant, letter Z for 1924 and maker's mark AEJ for A.E. Jones.
