This great early presentation lantern is brass was presented to A G Sturdivant. From what we can find online, A G Sturdivant was a first mate aboard the steamer “Lewiston“. It has pierced star designs and we believe it to have been manufactured by CT Ham. It dates from the late 19th Century and measures 10 + ¼ inches tall without the handle by 5 + 5/8 inches across the bottom. It is in excellent condition with the exception of a small ding along the bottom rim and the burner is missing. It is being sold as is. .
