Description
This auction is for a very rare map by Johannes Mejer (1606 - 1674). This map is circa 1650. It is a map of Nordfriesland in 1240, or in English "Northern Friesland" or "North Frisia", which is a district in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Top right is a small map of the small seaport of Rungholt, which was destroyed by a storm surge in 1362, as it appeared in 1240. The map is about 25 x 16 3/4". The paper is larger. Condition as shown - fraying around the edges. I have attached lots of pictures so you can see for yourself. The item in the pictures is the item you are bidding on. If you see anyone else using my pictures, please notify ebay and myself. I will ship worldwide to your specifications. Shipping and packing material costs are not included in the bid price. Ebay's rate calculator is for shipment in a tube. Payment can be made by Paypal, money order or certified check. Personal checks from Canada only. Other payment methods by agreement provided the amount invoiced equals the amount received. If you pay with Paypal, you must be a verified buyer, and the item must be sent to your Paypal address by a method that tracks delivery (as per Paypal's Seller Protection Policy). Canadian buyers must pay appropriate sales tax. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
