RARE - Beautiful!Antique Chandelier Biedermeier Period (1815-1848)Empire Chandelier. About 72” tall; Biedermeier period (1815-1848); ormolu; six-light chandelier; acanthus leaf decoration to top ring; six support chains in alternating oval with scroll and ring pattern; all original including the frosted/etched glass shades; applied acanthus leaf decoration; bearded image at the elbow of each light; has been electrified; originally made to use gas. Cut glass globes and bowl. Cast bronze. Hand-chased. Antique gold finish.Condition: Excellent and Beautiful! These pictures do not do justice to this chandelier and really needs to be seen in person to truly appreciate its beauty!Additional Data:Part of the Vintage Collection – A series of Fine Antique Chandelier Reproductions. Each has been authentically recreated using available Old molds and patterns. Every important period in the History of lighting is represented. The Vintage Collection is a unique group of about 50 of the finest Antique Reproductions. When possible, the fixtures are made today using original antique components. When the original parts are no longer available, we strive to use the original molds and tooling, making new parts identical to the originals. Due to the availability of old parts, many fixtures in the series are produced in very limited quantities.
