This is an interesting piece - the decorative central panel has been professionally stabilised and cased between two sheets of glass to protect it and prevent any damage as there are a few cracks in this central piece. There is a crack to the top left hand corner of the framing part, but this feels strong.  Framed with lead and copper with 4 hanging hooks and two side hangers - it is ready for display! We have been told that it is a 19th century Swiss piece copying a much earlier work.  There is mention of Martinus Zimerman 1524 at the bottom.  My internet research has not turned up much apart from a dubious connection with Martin Luther. Measures 17 inches by 15.5 inches (43.5cm by 39.5cm). Plus the 4 lead hangers.
