The covers exhibit extremely limited shelfwear, very minute if any, the gold gilt on the front titling is not really worn or faded, the gilt on the spine is bright with no loss. The corners are not rubbed or worn. There is a faint, barely visible white spot on the front and a small spot on the rear cover. The Endpapers are clean and white, with no cracking or writing. BEST of all-- There is no writing or marking anywhere in this book !!, the hinges are strong, the corners are straight and true, The plates are all present and the text is clean, white and firmly bound, Nothing is loose or coming loose. No foxing or browning evident in text or plates. The first two blank pages of the ffep have a small tear in the upper page near the gutter, the contents page has an even smaller tear at the top near gutter, the rest of the text is fine. A Highly presentable copy that would make a prized addition to any library!! THIS COPY IS In Excellent, nearly pristine CONDITION FOR ITS AGE!!!!
