Entitled "Jack Tar - Every Inch A Sailor". Also marked in lower right corner "Copyrighted 1905 Campbell Metzger & Jacobson.This is a Derogatory piece of the times.Jack Tar,would be a reference to Tar Baby.Every Inch a Sailor,Sailors were known to fool around gals at every port with their inches.So a warning for your daughters,One who may have a looser belt than the other {One girl has loose belt}. Notice the 2 class housing in the background {pic 8 & 9}.The girls Mother sits on a ritch Mansiion porch to the right.To the left is an old slave shack with smoke coming from it. A lot of these pillow tops were Advertising trade stimulators and premiums from many products like Tobacco,Sheet music,Jewelry shops etc.It Was hard to take pictures because it still has its original sheen and wonderful vibrant colors in NEAR MINT to MINT condition.Could use a little ironing and would look fantastic framed.My photo flash did not do this justice and the colors will look much better in person.Just photo glare not wear.
