Up for your bidding consideration and without any reserve like all of our auctions is this fresh to the market historic royal quilt that was sold decades ago at the Victoria Ward "Old Plantation" estate auction here in Honolulu. Absolutely fresh to the market and stored since then by a local family, it is a historic first - a rare royal coat of arms quilt that belonged to the hanai princess "Kaleionamoku" who was one of Queen Liliuokalani's ladies in waiting. Measuring 64" x 79" and in the condition as shown in the photos we are estimating the quilt's age to be around the year 1900 and it is completely hand sewn using cotton fabric. A stunning royal quilt of the royal red and white color, it is much much rarer than its counterpart - the flag quilt. We feel this is the most important Hawaiian quilt to ever hit the Internet so please keep that in mind when bidding. If you have any questions or would like further photos please let us know.
