Not familiar enough with Mexican culture to know if it's Aztec, Mayan or what, but I do know that my grandfather collected most of his items from Aztec museums. Would have been purchased sometime during the 1960's.Museum marking on back is too faded to tell exactly which museum it has come from.Statue itself is 2.25" wide by 4.5" tall. The statue is held to the wooden base by a small hole in one foot, and a metal holder on the wooden base. Wooden base is 2.75" wide by 1.25" tall. Wood base is not in mint condition.
