Vintage 1960's Hand Wooven Oriental Carpet Over Size Search This is a fabulous Hand Wooven Oriental Carpet. It is a sunny yellow with a large white sunburst in the center. The pictures do not do it justice. This carpet was purchased in 1965 and has been in only one home until now. At the time of purchase, this carpet cost $3,700.00. The lady that owned it has a son which told us that his mother was very protective of this carpet. She had special attachments to keep it in top shape, and would not allow anyone besides herself care of it. It has a very thick luxurious pile with the original padding under it. It is in very good condition. On one side there is a tiny bit of fading where the color looks a little lighter. We tried to picture it, but it does not show up. It is not a big deal at all, and most would not even notice it. The carpet measures 10' 3" wide and 16'3" long. The starburst in the center is 54" X 43". This is a very beautiful carpet from an Oklahoma estate. In order for us to get this moved to our home, it took 3 construction workers and a flat bed trailer. It is very thick and heavy. We will not be able to ship it because of the size. Local pick up or a freight company to be arranged by buyer. We will be happy to assist.
