It is long out of print and almost impossible to find in hardback. Chareau was a leading figure at the birth of Art Deco and exhibited at the landmark Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes in Paris in 1925. The term Art Deco originates from the title of this exhibition. Later Chareau embraced a more consciously modernist style, after working alongside Le Corbusier on a famous commission for Jaques Lipchitz. The book is in excellent used condition with only minor signs of age and use.
