Two glaze glass doors with arched segmented doors with original glass -- only one pane replaced, top resting on a Roman ogee moulded base, veneered desk top with beautiful figure bullnose edge with single piece of crotch mahogany veneer. Frieze drawer has a pen rest and four compartments and two covered hinged compartments, compartments beaded along dividers, very impressive workmanship, both sides of desk and front of drawer have beautiful highly figured veneers. Pull out tray on righthand side with original brass hardware, extending to 17+1/2" and covered in green felt -- ideal for laptop placement! Brasses and all hardware 100% original. Beautiful striped and figured veneers throughout. Spectacular carved legs with diamond cut carved ring at center of leg. New York turned foot. Original finish was cleaned and brought up with an authentic French polish. Poplar and pine secondaries. A fabulous china cabinet or book case, this example is as functional as it is beautiful. Ideal for dining room, library, or bedroom. Dimensions: 36+1/2" wide across top case, cornice 44" across, 75" tall and 22+1/2" deep bottom case.
