Start Price USD 41.88 Current Price USD 61.00 Time Left - Bid Count 9 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Tuesday, October 07, 2008 End Time Tuesday, October 14, 2008 Location hazleton, PA See more about 'POSSIBLY THE LARGEST JAR OF BUTTONS EVER, L@@K 1,000s' Description Check out my other items!Here we have possibly the largest jar of buttons in one place ??  There is even a few buckles in the mix with a couple of pairs. "  I AM NOT EXAGGERATING WHEN I SAY IT WEIGHS OVER   35  LBS.  QUITE AN IMPRESSIVE AMOUNT OF BUTTONS                    THE LIST IS VERY EXTENSIVE;  including                 bags of shell and abalone mother of pearl buttons of  differerent             sizes and styles with some dyed colors .                  plenty of rhinestones of different colors,  faux grain,  faceted steel and brass,  lots of bakelite in colors and shapes,  enamel,  syroco,  design under glass, hand painted,  black glass faceted,  rosettes, toggles,  celluloid, gilded,  porcelain,  hobnail glass and plastic,  and even modern nouveau samples.  leather buttons and vegetable ivory,  there is even  some figurals.  I even found some marbles in some of the tins I bought, you could even have the tins!!   {and the marbles too!!} alot of the bone and china buttons have  2 and  4  holes in them. The jug that houses this" plethora" of buttons   has a large variety of different kinds>>glass,ornate,plastic,figural,bone, hand painted ,abalone,lots and lots of mother of pearl in a wide variety of sizes some even carved some with etching and some are dyed different colors,  BY THE WAY THAT IS A 2 LITER BOTTLE OF SODA NEXT TO THE BIG JUG ;  FOR COMPARISON  There is even a total of  47 cards with the original buttons attached, a couple with graphics, or advertising. For years I picked up buttons at various places, even digging!       I have been trying to fill this jug to the top, by the way it is a 5  YES  5 gallon jug , it is almost impossible for me to count them all but I would estimate at least  _ _ 000 of them. There are some military ones of plastic and metal. lots of glass ones,lots of bakelite of many colors,lots of metal ones, I have matched up many many of them and am trying to get more pairs together, some have many pairs of the same kind and color. It is such a phenomenal task cause believe me there are 1,000's of them I have looked at many ads on e-bay with buttons and have never seen such a large quantity in one batch!!!!! I know I probably missed some of the sweet ones,  but my eyes are getting "buggy"  I will keep alot of them seperated for you in bags,  so you won't have to re-seperate them.
