Each piece has four carved panels which shows various mythical figures including the 8 immortals and 18 Lo Han. At the bottom, elephant's head finials hold loose rings. At the top, the cover displays an intricate carving of a mountain scene showing Fu, Lu, Shu, the gods of longevity, wisdom and strength. One covered vase is slightly taller than the other, probably representing the Emperor's power over his Empress. This pair would enhance the collection of any museum in the world, or can beautify your own collection. Each measures 44"h, 10"w, and is on a carved rosewood stand is 6"h.
